Roles and Activities

Role Objective:

  • Responsible for all aspects of market access in Germany
  • Optimize product results by developing and executing market access strategies which are consistent with the strategic plan of ESTEVE


  • Leading a Team of 2 direct reports
  • Managing national market access budget for complete portfolio of ESTEVE products
  • Prepare and contribute to the development of the strategic plan in addition to preparing your own departmental budget
  • Ensure our market access and optimal pricing for ESTEVE products
  • Develop a contracting strategy and monitor the market for opportunities for health insurance market and hospital market (hospital purchasing groups)
  • Develop and roll out payer communication for ESTEVE products
  • Collaborate with marketing, business development and medical team to evaluate risk and opportunities of potential launch molecules
  • Plan and lead AMNOG process for launch products including price negotiation
  • Support general manager, marketing, and sales in all topics regarding market access
  • Inform and train German team about changes in health care and market access relevant topics
  • Builds and maintains relationship with KOL´s and other key stakeholders, drives and executes local communication, positioning and messaging for ESTEVE products
  • Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, empowerment, and the recognition of individual and team achievement
  • Represent ESTEVE in working groups of industry associations
  • Operation accountabilities by developing market access tactical plans, closely monitor and adjust based on changing external environment
  • Maintain and develop the market access team by developing and training employees
  • Define and Measure KPI's and activate appropriate plans to meet expectations
  • Ensure highest standards of business and ethical conduct, in compliance with all relevant pharmaceutical and general regulations and legislation.

Requirements for the position

Skills & Competencies:

  • Experience of working as a Lead in Market Access
  • Experience as Contract Manager and/or Regional Market Access manager proven track record (min. 4 years)
  • Experience with creating a market access strategy with focus on contracting and regional stakeholder management
  • First experience with AMONG process and familiar with the process regulations
  • Excellent ability to sell and work under pressure
  • Externally focused - driven by adding value to stakeholders and customers
  • Results driven and strong entrepreneurial business acumen
  • Strong creativity – thinks out of the box – creates solutions even if challenging.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
  • Excellent cross functional cross- functional team player and leader
  • Excellent PC, Multichannel skills

Experience and Education:

  • Health Economic/ Business Administration/ Medical/Pharmacy/Biology degree
  • Pharmaceutical experience
  • Very good understanding of the German pharmaceutical market (hospital & Rx)
  • Fluency in German and English
