                           Senior Commercial Business Operations Analyst Germany (m/f/d)

Roles and Activities

  • Support of Business Operations Excellence in all commercial activities
    • Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of business operations within a complex product portfolio
    • Responsible for the creation of a local forecast and demand planning in alignment with finance and the global CMO team
    • Close collaboration with IT and local customer service teams to foster readiness of systems (SAP, etc..)
  • Sales Force Effectiveness Analyst:
    • Re-sizing field force teams , territory alignment, setting up field force objectives, designing incentive schemes, customer targeting & segmentation projects,  etc
    • Monitoring of commercial activities & top line performance of the business
    • Creation of commercial dashboards and development of KPIs
    • Management of local secondary sources of data: identifying relevant local data (eg IQVIA, etc) and providing tools and selected analyses to give healthcare and salesforce teams access to relevant key data
    • Supporting the commercial team in preparing business reviews for local and international executive management
  • Build & develop top line forecast models and business cases to evaluate commercial initiatives 
  • Commercial IT Tools
    • Optimize business value from IT platforms, in particular CRM and BI-Analytics tools
    • Recommend holistic enhancements for the CRM tool & BI Change Board (eg changes to input fields, reports, user training and business processes where necessary to maximize value) and drive implementation where needed. Make recommendations to maximize the value from the new CRM system and BI-tool

Requirements for the position

  • Strong business mindset:  ability to understand the dynamics of the business both commercially and operationally. Beyond data input, the candidate understands the “why” and the business impacts of commercial forecast drivers
  • Results driven and strong entrepreneurial business acumen
  • Ability to influence: ability to influence decisions and translate data volume in added value information simultaneously measuring business impacts across different organizational functions
  • Excellent time management skills including ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Strong computer and querying/database/Excel skills required with proven knowledge in Excel and familiarity with financial modeling trends
  • Strong influencing & communication skills, including presentation expertise and the ability to run highly effective meetings
  • Strong leadership skills including leading projects with impact outside own department, promoting teamwork cross-functionally on a global basis and communicating with business stakeholders
  • Solid problem-solving skills; ability to distill  problems down to their solvable parts and design sustainable solutions (root-cause analysis approach)
  • High service & customer orientation (internal and external)
  • Solid experience in tactical pricing decisions and data driven strategic decision preparation
  • Solid finance and business administration competency

Experience & Knowledge
  • Founded experience as a commercial business analyst with marketing Intelligence functions in the Pharmaceutical sector
  • Knowledge of pharma and healthcare data sources
  • University degree
  • Understanding of the German pharmaceutical market (especially hospital & Rx)
  • Experience in process management
  • Experience in managing BI tools, Databases and Excel sheets to monitor & evaluate commercial opportunities
  • Fluent level of English & German
  • Very good presentation skills
