With immediate effect we are looking for a CMO Operations Specialist (m/f/d) based in Berlin.

What will be your responsibilities:

  • Central contact for our third party logistics service provider.
  • Close cooperation with CMO operations, customer service and quality management as well as with finance and insurance.
  • Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including knowledge and understanding of specialist ERP systems such as SAP, as well as experience with warehouse management systems and interfaces to ensure that IT systems in place are effective, appropriately maintained and accurate.
  • Strong skills to interpret trends, analyse and review data in order to provide meaningful logistics data to the internal stakeholders and to assess logistic service provider performance by promoting continuous improvement.
  • Manage warehouse inventory, keep track of slow moving and obsolete stock and organize destruction of goods with close cooperation with finance and the logistics service provider.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports.
  • To participate in the implementation of appropriate logistics models that support business strategies, company expansion and cost reduction strategies as well as participating in various projects to expand the company portfolio.
  • Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in potential new affiliates and advise of cost implications and efficiency.
  • To participate in the preparation and revision of contracts with transport and logistics service providers as well as coordinate the selection of transportation providers for new needs and special cases.
  • Drafting and revision of logistics related SOPs.
  • Invoice verification of transport and storage service providers.
  • Prepare and monitor third party logistics service budget.

What you should bring:

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience is supply chain management, operations, or logistics.
  • 3+ years’ experience of working in logistics/purchasing/supply chain/transportation function ideally within the pharmaceutical environment with a comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and procedures
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
  • Highly skilled communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple project
  • Good English knowledge – moderate travel in Europe
  • Expert knowledge of technical regulations related to logistics such as import/export and customs regulations will be valued
  • Knowledge of lean techniques may be advantageous will be valued
