Join our team at the Berlin location as:  Franchise Lead Ophthalmology (m/f/d)

What will be your responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the commercial activities of the new Franchise (Germany) in a very competitive and dynamic business environment
  • Budgeting, planning and forecasting sales and financial figures including all elements of the Marketing mix
  • Performance tracking and monitoring of all marketing and sales related activities including distribution, promotional and marketing campaigns through marketing & sales partners
  • Development of an innovative B2B and B2C multichannel strategy to build and increase share of voice and touch points with main target audiences & influencers of all Ophthalmology brands
  • Coordinate with all related departments and affiliates the timely availability of resources (products, packaging, medical studies, pricing, registration, co-promotion partners…) for the planned launch
  • Responsible for the overall brand building of products and corporate image together with Franchise team members
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to support business challenges
  • Maintain a long-term perspective on all issues affecting the business and continuously improve strategic and tactical business activities to sustain & grow the portfolio in coordination with the Managing Director of the Germany affiliate
  • Build and manage a high-performance team with focus on operational excellence and a continuous improvement to overcome challenges
  • Ensure business objectives are achieved with high level of integrity and compliance and are fully compliant with relevant laws, regulations and company standards of business conduct and ethics

What you should bring:

  • Successful experience within the pharmaceutical business (Pharmaceutical/OTC/Consumer health/FMCGs), with a founded sales & marketing track record for a significant business
  • Knowledge of the ophthalmology industry is a substantial asset
  • Demonstrated creativity and innovation in strategy and execution; flexibility to find the right balance in working strategically and operationally
  • Solid communicator with outstanding persuasion skills, ready to face up to challenges and to solve complex problems
  • Ability to develop strong relationships across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to identify, select, develop, engage and retain talent - manages performance effectively
  • Agile mindset to ensure commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, accountability
  • Education: Scientific degree (Medical related) and/or Business studies
  • Fluent in both German & English (written as well as spoken)
  • Ability to travel nationally and abroad
